Olympus

Olympus, 2006 from Henry Tsang.

Olympus is an interactive new media work that selects video clips based on information gathered over the Internet. A computer program functions as a real-time editing device, monitoring the changes in popularity of the Torino 2006 and Vancouver 2010 Olympic websites, switching between these two cities so that with each subsequent sequence or scene, the movement appears similar but always different, the space between the two cities erased, collapsed. Duration is approximately 14 minutes, varying with each play.
